Driving to the mountains at 7am. So pretty!
Tony showing off his brand new snowboard. It's about time, he's been using the same board since high school!
After being on the mountain for a few hours, I had to stop and give my legs a much-needed break. Everything was so pretty and snow-covered, a true winter wonderland.
We headed to Whiskey Pete's for lunch and a few drinks before heading back to the slopes.
I forgot to take pictures during dinner that night, or of our game of rummy, or even our champagne toast at midnight. Luckily, Laura was on top of things and had Tony snap this clever "2013" picture.
I'm a little bummed that the holidays are over. No more extended weekends for a looong time for this girl! So sad. But I do have a few things to look forward to this month, including meeting infamous bloggers John & Sherry Petersik from YoungHouseLove at their book signing on Jan. 25, and a weekend trip to Portland. And of course Valentine's Day is right around the corner!! Love!
Welcome to 2013, everyone!
Looks like a fun new years! Those pictures of the sky and snowy trees are gorgeous! Happy 2013!

ReplyDeleteIt was so gorgeous! I was SO dang grumpy that morning and was pouting about having to wake up so early, but then seeing the sunrise made me feel 100 times better. :) And yes you should definitely try snowboarding! Start on the bunny hills though, not the top of the mountain like I once did! Huge mistake, haha.
DeleteLove the scenery shots, skiing life is the best! Happy New Year!
