i heart halloween

I really do! It’s one of my favorite times of the year, besides Christmas. I LOVE dressing up. Whenever I hear someone say “I don’t really do the whole Halloween thing”, I’m sure I just stare at them in shock because I just can’t comprehend not wanting to dress up and have fun!

I thought I'd celebrate my love for Halloween by doing an ode to years past.

2003 - Army Girl & Cowgirl

I sure do miss all the fun house parties we went to in Bellingham!

2008 - Football Player

One of the highlights of this year was meeting Sara Jean Underwood in the bathroom at Ibiza's, who was the 2007 Playmate of the Year. I’m not a big Playboy fan or anything, but she was on a ton of episodes of “The Girls Next Door” and she was one of my favorites. And she's just as sweet in real life!

2009 - Biker & Bee

I got to dress up twice this year! First I went to a biker-themed party with my friend Cheyenne.

I also went to a super fun party in Fremont dressed as a bee!

2010 - Mexican Wrestler & Angel

A big group of us dressed as Mexican Wrestlers this year and it was really fun. It was the first time I've worn a mask on Halloween and I loved that nobody knew who I was when we went out.

I also did a more tone-downed costume when we took Chloe trick-or-treating.

2011 – Envy & Fairy

My team at work this year did the 7 Deadly Sins, and I was “Envy”, which somehow translated to to Poison Ivy.

Later that night when we took Chloe trick-or-treating, she told me I would be wearing her fairy wings (I didn't get a choice!).

2012 – Tooth Fairy

Apparently I like wearing wings because I decided to be the Tooth Fairy this year.

This was my inspiration photo from Julie Ann:

I don’t think I managed to get a picture of my entire costume, but it turned out pretty identical! Except I accidentally bought kids wings so they were pretty tiny. I think I lost circulation to my arms halfway through the night.

I hope everyone had a fun Halloween weekend! Even though Halloween is technically still a few days away, I’m sure most of you have already worn your costumes. On the actual day of Halloween, Tony and I are going to celebrate in true spooky fashion by seeing the new horror movie Sinister. I just hope I can sit through the whole movie without crying, covering my eyes, or bolting towards the closest exit.

 Happy Halloween!!
