this weekend, i...

This weekend was my favorite kind of weekend, which is relaxed and low-key.  Even though I should have been doing something productive like packing for our upcoming move, instead I let my procrastination instincts kick-in and told myself I'd do that stuff next weekend.  I really will, I swear!

This weekend, we had a celebratory dinner at Moctezuma's on Friday after signing our final house paperwork with the title company.  It was warm enough to eat outside on the patio, and I had my favorite happy hour item, the squash taquitos.  So yummy!

This weekend, I did a little shopping at Target, Kohl's and Famous Footwear.  Technically I'm supposed to be penny-pinching right now since we need to buy a bunch of stuff for the house, but I couldn't help it.  It's sort of like a sick addiction.

2 / Yoga Pants
3 / Knit top
4 / Roxy shoes

This weekend, I spent a little lot of time catching up on Teen Mom 2 thanks to the fact that there was a marathon playing all weekend.  It was even on at the gym, so I didn't have to miss a minute of it.  If you're a fan of the show (Christi!), I know you'll appreciate this:

This weekend, I stopped by Ken Walker Jewelers to have my right-hand ring cleaned.  It was filthy!  And since there's nothing on my left hand yet (*ahem, Tony), I needed to satisfy my sparkle craving.  It came back super sparkly, although it's hard to tell from this picture.

Tony gave this ring to me for V-day two years ago, it's aquamarine and black diamond.  Love it!

EDIT:  I forgot to mention one more thing I did this weekend.  Tony and I watched Django Unchained, and it was SO good!  It's a Quentin Tarantino movie so of course there are some disturbing parts and lots of blood, but it was honestly the best movie I've seen in awhile.  Go watch it!!

What did you do this weekend?  Did you watch as much tv as I did?

  4. I just (kind of) watched Django Unchained this weekend too! I say kind of because I'm not a huge fan of the bloody shoot em up stuff so I was on my computer quite a bit....but story line I liked! :)

  6. Again, I freaking LOVE that ring!!

I showed that Teen Mom pic to hubby and he was DYING. Yup, he watches Teen Mom with me. I don't force him either, he legit just enjoys it.

Now that I heard a good review from someone who has seen Django Unchained, I just may have to rent it on demand. I LOVE that weird Tarantino comic book and violent bloody goorishness. I just may enjoy that!

    1. Glad you love the ring! It looks dirty in the picture for some reason, but I swear its sparkly clean right now.

You are lucky that Matt watches Teen Mom 2 with you, Tony went to bed and left me all by my lonesome! He watched Bd Girls Club with me when we first started dating but now that we're together his true self has come out and he won't watch it, haha. I was duped!

And yes it's SO good!! But also sad because it's about slavery which really happened so it was upsetting. Never seen the comic book!

  8. Ok, love your post for so many reasons:

1- I watched Django too and love it
    2- You are always shopping!
    3- Your ring is fab
4- Your unabashed hint to Tony is even better...been wondering myself when that would happen :)

    1. Haha glad I can entertain!! That movie was SO good! I'm glad I let Tony talk me into watching it. It's true, I am always shopping, but I never spend very much so I tell myself it doesn't count. :) My ring looks way better in person, it looks dirty in that pic for some reason. Haha, I hope he reads my unabashed hint!

  12. Found you through the WB board! So impressed with your projects and that you bought a house! Also, your ring is stunning and I went to Target on Saturday and Sunday, haha. The Target in Brooklyn is not as good as other ones, but I'll take what I can get.
